Despite the imminent end of "Rock am Meer Open Air" due to a severe storm, the organizers managed to find a creative solution. The band Pankas Jane, originally scheduled to perform on the open-air stage, quickly decided to give an unplugged concert at the Pumpwerk. Around 1,000 spectators found a dry place and experienced a unique and atmospheric concert.
The unplugged concert by Pankas Jane at the Pumpwerk was enriched by a special surprise: a Bechstein grand piano stood on stage, which Corvin Bahn, the band's keyboardist, played with virtuosity. With his impressive improvisational skills, particularly during the pieces "Windows" and "Spain," he created magical moments that made the concert a true highlight.
The combination of the intimate atmosphere, the acoustic set, and the masterful piano performance made the concert a unique and special experience for the approximately 1,000 spectators. It was an evening where music, supported by spontaneous creativity and virtuosity, triumphed over the challenges posed by the weather and will be remembered for a long time.
